How I Style Thrift Finds: The Sweater Vest

I have seen this fashion trend emerge early in the fall, but as hard as I tried I couldn't find the right pieces to put this look together for the longest time. The look is a men's oversized button down white shirt with a sweater vest over it and then a white tennis skirt. I still have not been able to find the skirt, but I found the other pieces when I went thrifting in North Carolina. So for New Year's Eve I made my vision come to life (minus the tennis skirt because it's January–duh).

So as I said I found this men's white button down white shirt and the men's sweater vest at a thrift store in North Carolina. The whole point of this look is for it to be oversize but still polished. I love this look, it gives me total Blair Waldorf vibes and the rest of my accessories just added the look.

I wore these pair of what's considered "work leggings" because I wanted something thicker than tights because it was cold but sleeker than actual leggings. These pants were also thrifted! Then my shoes are the Sam Edelman Loafers I got for Christmas! Lastly, my purse is one of my favorite thrift finds because I saw the mini plaid purse from the corner of my eye and though huh this would be cute for the holiday season and then I saw the tag and dropped my mouth when I saw that it's a Coach purse. Freakin' cute! I paired it with some of my favorite Bauble Bar Aldia Rings and gold layered necklaces, some that I thrifted and my coin necklace that I got in a Fab Fit Fun box (Amber Sceats Double Coin Necklace)!

I freakin' love the way this look came out. Even my mom said, "You look like Blair." Ugh, what a compliment. And 99% of my outfit was thrifted so my wallet is happy too 😍.
