The Oscars

As most of you know and probably watched, Sunday was Oscars night! I usually don't watch these award shows because I haven't seen any of the movies and it usually takes really long to announce winners when I have Twitter to tell me who wins. However, with all the chaos revolving around this award show and because I saw a super cute Instagram post from Glitter Guide AND because my best friend was coming over to hangout with Omar and I for the night, I decided to print out some Oscar ballots, order pizza, and make a night of it!

We scarfed down some pizza and tacos (don't judge), played the board came Clue for the first time, played rummy for the millionth time, and competed to see who could guess the most winners of the night. Besides the fact that Mad Max won like all the awards, who we really wanted to see win was Leonardo DiCaprio win his first Oscar. With all the media frenzy going on, we just knew he had to win it. Gabe and I marked him on our ballots, but I don't know what was going on through Omar's head when he was making selections. Although, Gabe and I selected Cinderella for Best Costume Design, but Omar marked Mad Max. So, maybe he wasn't off by much. Finally, we got the Best Lead Male Actor and of course, LEO WON! Woohoo, what a time to be alive. It's about time to won and I'm sure everyone was super excited about it. Plus, he's such a cutie and his acceptance speech was pretty long but no one tried to cut him off by playing music. How great is that? I had a really fun night with some really fun people. I might have to make this a tradition from now on!
