Barking For Bark Box

Back around Christmas time I found this super cute box subscription dedicated just to dogs.  I couldn't get over how cute the idea of it was.  Plus, they stuff that they were sending was so cute and really affordable.  What I really liked was if your dog really enjoys a certain type of treat or toy he got you could go back later and buy it separately.  Also, all the boxes are themed.  They have New York theme, Chinese New Year theme, Hippie theme, England theme.. and so much more.  I first got this subscription as a gift to my mom for Christmas.  I ordered one month (December) and when I wrapped it I wrote To: Mom Love: Smokey.  I know I'm cute right?  Well Smokey loved all the toys and treats so much my mom continued the subscription and now gets a box every month.

So, naturally when I got Oliver I knew I wanted to get him some treats from there.  Because he's still a puppy though I didn't want to start a monthly subscription and get a ton of things he can't even chew on or eat yet.  So I handpicked a couple items.  I got him a statue of liberty ball, some salmon jerky treats, and a plush pizza toy.  He went crazy over these items.  The toys are plush and squeak so once I press on it and throw it across the room he goes right to it and will chew on it for a while.  The treats are a little rough for his baby teeth to handle but when I break it up into smaller pieces he really likes them.  I was honestly trying to just take pictures of the adorable packaging but he was chewing on it already trying to get to the treats inside.  Why I love Bark Box too is because part of the proceeds go to a local shelter.  "10% of all profits go to shelters and together with our BarkGood program we are working with over 3,000 shelters and rescues around the  U.S. and Canada (BarkBox)."  You give your dog a treat, and help another.  It's a win-win.

It's a combination of 4-5 treats, toys, and occasional hygiene products.

How do I join?
Click on the "Get Started" button on the home page of Bark Box. Select the size of your dog and then select which BarkBox plan you'd like. You fill out billing and shipping information and you fill out some information about your dog.

How much does Bark Box cost?
"Our twelve month plan is the very best deal. Why? If you purchase twelve months up front, this allows us to plan ahead and also make larger donations to our partner shelter and rescues."

Twelve month plan = $228 This breaks down to $19 per BarkBox.

Six month plan = $126. This breaks down to $21 per BarkBox.

Three month plan = $72. This breaks down to $24 per BarkBox. 

One month plan = $29 per month.
