My mom slayed the decorations as well. So many balloons and gag gifts spread out throughout the tables. Little signs that made jokes about how old my dad is. The jokes didn't stop there though because I think just about everyone got him a gag gift. From what I can remember he got adult diapers, hemorrhoid cream, a cape that said "super old," a book dedicated to the year he was born, grandpa underwear, vitamins that old people take, hair dye kit, a fake pair of dentures, a listening device and so, so, so much more.
For those who don't know my dad, he is the funniest person I have ever met. He's hilarious when he's sober then get some beer (or gin and tonic apparently) in him and he will have the whole room in tears. I love my dad and how he can just bring so much joy in any room that he walks into. I'm really happy I came home to celebrate with him. Happy Birthday Papa Katz! Here's to another fifty years!
xoxo, Michele
