I'm probably one of the pickest person when it comes to clothes. I don't many patterns or details that over take the person in the outfit. I think high fashion is ugly and I do believe you can make a $5 skirt look amazing with the right pair of heels. Something that really irks me with fashion is that everyone tries to match their accessories with their main outfit. Believe it or not, just because your shirt is black doesn't mean the rest of the assemble has to be as well. MIX IT UP! Just like you do with makeup, you can totally blend an outfit together to make it look like the perfect match.
One of my favorite patterns, but only used sparingly is leopard. Leopard is always neutral. I don't need to have an "Oh My God" Janice moment and match my leopard jacket to my leopard shoes. I found this dress at H&M a couple years ago and it's still one of my all time faves. It snugs my body so perfectly to show off all my curves, but at the same time hides my Thanksgiving belly. Which made it the perfect dress for this years Thanksgiving outfit.
Incase you guys aren't following me on social meida, I'll give you the 4-1-1. My family decided to come down to me for Thanksgiving so I could still work, thus giving me a longer Christmas break. Talk about awesome parents right? So the fam bam rented a beach house and we had a traditional Katsaris Thanksgiving just with an ocean view. Since I wasn't freezing down in North Carolina I was able to wear a dress... yes a dress. On Thanksgiving day. I was as shocked as you were. Of course there was still a breeze so I paired it with this oversized burgundy cardigan (from Costco) and called it a day. It was such a comfy outfit that I was able to pair with one item (not of leopard pattern or neutral color) and make it pop.
I have worn this dress so many different ways before. I've worn it with tights and booties. I've worn it with a leather jacket. I've worn it with a belt and knee high boots. I think you can mix and match differnet color schemes when you decided to go with a staple leopard print piece. Don't be afraid to dig into your closet and find that leopard print piece you love oh so much and find something to go with it. Fashion is supposed to be fun and express who you are as a person. I think we all know by now that I am a KATsaris, and I'm all about the FELINE aspects of fashion.
What did you wear for Thanksgiving? Leave me a picture below!
