2 Easy Picture Frame DIY's
I love collecting tickets and passes to events that I attend and I love my polaroid camera, but these two things are small and can quickly become messy or disorganized and then it gets thrown into a box. I wanted to be able to show off these small pieces of paper in a nice way in the apartment and the answer to both of these DIY's is picture frames.

Now, I did get both of these ideas off of Pinterest, but I put my own spin on them and made them my own. The first one involves a shadowbox picture frame. You can find a few different ones like this one and this one. I got my shadowbox as a Christmas gift from my grandma one year and I love that it has two sides. I'm able to display this box either on the wall or as I did it on the kitchen counter. I love putting these things together because every time I go to add a new ticket or event pass to it I see old ones and am remembered of the good times from that day. That's it! I simply put passes and tickets from things into this shadowbox picture frame and that's it!! It looks so nice and it makes for a great conversation piece when people see it.

The next DIY involves any size picture frame you need. I first saw on Pinterest (I can't find it anymore, it was years ago) this huge picture frame that was leaning against the wall and it was filled with polaroid pictures. I loved this idea, but I didn't have that many polaroids to fill a picture frame. Instead we got this 24 x 30 picture frame from Target and hung it above our couch because we haven't had any type of artwork in the living room yet. All I did for this DIY was to take the temporary picture that comes in the picture frame and flip it around to the back side of it because it was white. I first laid out all of the polaroids and made a type of pattern. I had a pile of pictures with family, friends, Omar, our dog and random. I wanted to keep a pattern of some sort because I obviously have a lot of pictures of my dog and didn't want them all around each other. I also have some pictures that were taken horizontally and ones that had colorful borders. I just made sure that I mixed it up as much as possible and then after I laid them all out on the white paper, I did a little donut tape and taped them to the back of the polaroid (don't worry, the tape doesn't ruin the pictures, it comes off very easily). I made sure the entire paper was covered and that all the pictures were sticking before putting it back into the frame and done!! I am OBSESSED with this piece. Especially because it's sooo simple. You don't even realize what it is until you get closer to it. It's a great art piece for the living room, but it's also personal.
