It takes a lot for me to switch foundations. Once I find a products that works well with my skin, I can be pretty set in my ways. However, I have gone back and fourth with Too Faced and Benefit products for a while now and when I heard the amazing review for the Hello Happy foundation, I knew I wanted to get my hands on it.
I decided to pick up a sample size of it from Sephora while I was in New York and test it out for a couple photo shoots I was doing one weekend. I'll just come right out and say it.. I was pretty impressed. Not only did the foundation go on so smoothly, but it really did blur a lot of my pores out. It was long-wearing and it lasted through several outfit changes and a party later that night.
I will say the only thing I didn't like about it was how "liquidy" the foundation was. It wasn't as thick as I prefer my foundations to be, so because of that I definitely had to do two layers of it. To say the least, it wasn't full coverage with just one coat, but if you don't mind a second coat than it's not a deal breaker.
What I liked most about this foundation was that it didn't dry out my face. That's my biggest issue with trying out new face products, I can't stand the feeling of my face feeling dry or cracked. This foundation didn't do that at all- it was extremely light weight. I know, contracting myself when I say I prefer a heavier/thicker foundation, but at the same time want something light weight. There are foundations out there like that, you just have to test them out to find them.
The Born This Way foundation by Too Faced is still my favorite, but the Hello Happy foundation is now a close second (especially in those hot summer days).
Have you tried the Hello Happy foundation? What did you think about it?
