Hair Transformation With Igna Hair Studio

I have been waiting for this blog post because I have been patiently waiting for my hair appointment with Jose at Igna Hair Studio in Sterling, VA. He opened his own studio a couple months ago and with a vacation coming up I knew I need to get these roots fixed ASAP!

I haven't had my hair done since before quarantine so my roots were growing out and I definitely had some split ends that needed taking care of. I feel my most confident when I have my platinum blonde hair and Jose did such an amazing job I feel like a new woman! I'm sharing the unedited before and after pictures of my hair and a Q&A with the man himself, Jose Ignacio of Igna Hair Studio.

1. How long have you been a hairstylist and what is your favorite part about the job?

I’ve been a hairstylist for 5 years now and my favorite part is seeing people’s smile after they see their hair!

2. What is your current favorite hair trend?
My favorite trend is balayage and beach waves. It's perfect for the summer time.

3. Tell us the process you used for Michele’s hair.

Michele had about 5 inches of hair regrowth so I used a lighter to lift her brown and turn it into blonde. We processed her hair for 45 minutes and toned her hair with a cool blonde (9v,9p) from Redken. For the haircut, we did a long lob–a slightly shorter cut on the back and angled towards the front for a more trendy look. She wasn't sure about it at first, but she trusted me and it came out amazing! It also helped with her split ends and made he her look fuller and healthier.

4. Where do you see Igna Hair Studio going in the future?
I see Igna Hair Studio becoming a chain. I was given an amazing opportunity to learn and grow as a stylist and I want to do the same for others. Opening multiple hair studios across the country to be able to give opportunities to other stylist to become their own boss is something I'm passionate about.
