I like to consider myself a pro-packer. I've pretty much gotten it down to a science figuring out how much I can fit in a little space. Over my time I have acquired packing cubes, space saver bags and even a hand-held digital scale for suitcases. I've even perfected my carry-on to contain all the important things I would need during a flight, no matter how long. Though I do carry my laptop and camera with me on to the plane, I actually never use my computer during flights. So my top ten might look a little different from yours, but these are items I never travel without.
- Headphones–doesn't matter what kind, just something to cancel out the noise
- Phone or Tablet–download some movies and shows on Netflix beforehand
- Blanket–those planes get cold
- Book or Magazine–instead of my laptop I take this time to read
- Snacks–duh
- Toiletry Bag Containing; hand sanitizer, hand wipes, rose water spray, chapsticks, disposable toothbrush, Kleenex, feminine products, Advil, band-aids, small bottle of perfume, q-tips, deodorant, melatonin, lotion–okay this one is cheating a little because it's like ten things in one, but trust me, have a small bag with you so you can feel less gross when you land
- Notebook & Pen–just something small so you can jot down anything you need to do
- Portable Charger & Charger Cables–not all planes have wall plugs for you to use
- Change of Clothes–for two reasons, incase you spill anything on you or if you want to be comfier later on
- Eye Mask–not everyone closes the window during flights so just incase you want some shut eye you need to shut out the sun
