I mentioned that I want to up my fashion post and that will mostly compile of thrifted pieces, but I also love to share affordable style as well. Fashion is fun and you should be able to experiment, but without going into debt. Some styles come and go and then come back again and parachute pants are one of those styles.
I saw these "shiny" parachute pants at Marshalls on clearance for $12. There was something about them that caught my eye and maybe it was my inner Danielle Bernstein talking, but I knew I could do something with these. Plus they were on clearance (see what I mean about not needing to break the bank). I wasn't sure how to wear it, but I knew I could. That's the first step. So, I went through my closet and realized that since the pants are the staple piece of this outfit I wanted my top to be simple.
I paired it with this white bodysuit I got from Romwe, it has a shoulder cut-out to give it this edgier look and the jewelry I paired with were chunky colorful Aldia rings from Baublebar, 2 pairs of gold hoop earrings, blue tinted Lucky Brands sunglasses (also found at Marshalls) and my 1993 gold pendant necklace. My shoes–another Marshall's find–chunky pastel New Balance sneakers. I wanted to create a more edgier, "street style" look. It's totally out of my comfort zone, but it came together nicely! I even have this old school FURBY coin purse (thrifted) that I used as a fun accessory.
I love the way this look came out. It was so different from my normal look, but I still felt confident in it. Fashion is supposed to be fun and experimental. Parachute pants are the ultimate "fun pants" that you can experiment with!
