This TikTok video of this DIY baby shower gift, which is a wooden closet has gone viral. And when my friend's baby shower was coming up I knew I wanted to re-create this DIY. And apparently, I wasn't the only one because like 3 other people made ones too š, but let's be honest mine was the best š .
I had to quickly get all of my supplies off of Amazon Prime, so probably not the most "affordable" DIY, but it still all came together. I definitely don't suggest using wood glue though as the instructions would suggest, because it wouldn't be sturdy and it definitely would have fallen apart. So my boyfriend and best friend nailed this thing together so it wouldn't budge once we filled it with everything.
After that I kept the decorations simple. I didn't know how they would decorate her room or how long they would use it for, so I didn't want to paint anything or put any decorations that were permanent. So I kept it simple with some artificial flowers and some pink and white stuffing.
For the basket I got some essentials they would need, but some fun stuff too! I filled the basket with some baby wipes, baby soap, pacifiers, a portable changing station, a wooden A door hanger, nursing pads, Sesame Street baby books, pink velvet hangers, closet dividers, pacifier clips, baby toothbrush, room freshener, rubber ducks and snacks for the hospital! Then of course the whole purpose of this gift was to hang clothes on the closet so I got a ton of different sizes and some fun patterns and designs of clothes. Then I hung a "Welcome Baby" sign on the end too!
