Before my mom and I went to Forks we started out in Seattle, Washington. My mom had a business trip and sometimes I’ll tag along on her trips, but this time when it was a trip to Washington she thought I wouldn’t want to go, but of course, I did!! Before we spent the weekend in Forks though we spent the day in Seattle.
We didn’t want to go too far so we parked the car for the day and walked around Pike Place Market. I had a couple must-see places on our list and the rest was just spontaneous. We explored all day until it was time to hit the road and head to Forks.
As I mentioned we pretty much stayed in Pike Place Market. We walked around and ate some delicious food and shopped like crazy! This whole street is basically a farmer’s market but with actual stores and multiple levels. We found some really cool gems while shopping and took home some of the unique food items we found too.
Some of my favorite stores were the Old Seattle Paperworks where I purchased some vintage Playboy Magazines. Then of course we had to go to The First Starbucks where we got some exclusive merch. Our favorite place to eat was Le Panier this french bakery—it was so good my mom and I even went back the day we were leaving to get some goodies to take home!
A little further away from Pike Place (but still walkable), we went to the Starbucks Reserve just to check it out since we’ve never been to one. Then across the street at Black Sparrow Tattoo my mom got a finger tattoo that she’s been wanting!
Overall, I highly suggest going to Pike Place Market if you’re ever in Seattle, even if it’s just for a day trip ☺️!
